Things to Do
Getting Around the Island
There is a free trolley that runs the length of the island. It operates 365 days per year from 6am to 10:30pm every evening. There is a trolley stop just in front of the Green Turtle Gift Shop (steps outside the door). Trolley stops are every 2 to 4 blocks and trolleys every 20 minutes. With longer stops to make transfers at key points along the island. Check out the map for the trolley schedule.
Monkey Bus: The monkey bus is operated by island residents, and is free to riders. They operate on tips only. They have 8 passenger golf cart limo's, two mini-buses, and an SUV. One of their vehicles is Karaoke-equipped. They are available for any need from dinner to errands and will take you off the island as well. Need a ride? Call 941 565-6542
Other transportation options: You can rent a golf cart or scooter, rent bicycles, or walk to the many local amenities we have on the island.
Historic Bridge Street
Grab a drink at the Daiquiri Deck, walk the shops, or eat at the famous Anna Maria Oyster Bar while enjoying a fabulous water view! There's even mini-golf tucked away amongst the shops. Something for everyone!
Water Activities
You're on an island, right? There's no shortage of water activities here. You can charter a fishing captain for a day, parasail, take a dolphin cruise, rent kayaks or paddleboards, jet ski, scuba dive and more. Most are within walking distance at the Bradenton Beach Marina or Bridge Street Pier or across the bridge at The Seafood Shack Marina.
